Girnar hills, which are located in the Junagadh district of Sasan Gir Village, were famous for years for the pilgrims and devotees who came to worship God residing in the Girnar temples for years. It is a pilgrimage spot for both the Hindus and the Jains. In the pastoral areas, underneath the Girnar temple, there is a vast forest, which is now known as the Girnar Wildlife Sanctuary. The forest was later created to expand the territory of the most majestic animals on Earth- the Asiatic Lions.
