Important Tips for Gir Lion Safari Permit

The Gir National Park is one of Gujarat's many fascinating wildlife preserves. It is known for being the only place in the world where Asiatic Lions can be found. In fact, Gir is only second to the African continent in terms of lion sightings in the wild. Gir has also gained notoriety for successfully rescuing Asiatic Lions from extinction. Aside from lions, Gir is home to a variety of other animals, mainly birds. Gir piques interest even more because it is home to two tribes: the Maldharis and the African-born Siddis. It's fascinating to see how these courageous tribes coexist with nature. Each day, there are three safari tours available for Gir, starting at 6.30 a.m., 9.30 a.m., and 3.30 p.m. During the summer, the times are usually 30 minutes earlier.
