As the human-wildlife conflict rose in   Gir National Park , Gujarat, wildlife activists have urged Gujarat High Court to direct a clean-cut policy. A retired IFS officer was the key person for this activity as he convinced other wildlife activists to appeal for the clean-cut policy. Besides this polity, the Gujarat High Court also ordered to prepare a new management plan. The retired IFS officer, DM Naik, had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in August 2020 along with Mayank Bhatt, a wildlife activist, and Ramesh Raval, a retired teacher.
